At The Helm, we know that finding the right place for your young child to learn and grow can be daunting. When it is time to pick out a preschool setting, parents are typically faced with a decision: “Do I try my hand at private preschool and hope the school ‘gets’ my child?” or “Do I begin to wade into the red tape of a public school preschool program and see if my child qualifies for services?” The decision is hard. The Academy at The Helm ABA offers children with unique learning needs the opportunity to prepare for the transition to school in an individualized and therapeutic environment. With our low learner to staff ratio, children are able to begin to learn how to navigate a group setting while still receiving the individualized attention from highly qualified instructors that they deserve.

This program is designed to support learners of all abilities without the typical pressures and expectations of a one-size fits all preschool program. At The Academy, learners have the opportunity to develop at their own pace with the support of highly trained ABA professionals.
Is my child appropriate for this program?
The Academy is ideal for learners who are between the ages of 3 and 6, have a developed form of communication (all methods welcome), potty trained, and are able to safely participate in a small group setting without hurting themselves or others.
